COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland’s developed a penchant for slow starts, and while the beginning-of-game errors were masked against mid-major foes early in the season, that hasn’t been the case of late. The Terps (10-4, 1-2 Big Ten), who haven’t defeated a high-major foe since knocking off Illinois back on Dec. 2, have fallen behind by double-digits in the first halves against Wisconsin; Tennessee; UCLA and Michigan and were unable to recover in any of them.
