RECRUITING: Barnes was a two-star recruit from Auburn, Ala., in the 2016 class. He procured offers from several smaller schools and originally committed to Memphis in July of 2015. He was content to stick with the Tigers, but the Terps, looking for another tight-end, handed Barnes an offer in early January 2016.
