Terps Set For Final Non-Conference Bout Before Big Ten Gauntlet

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The New Year will bring Maryland back-to-back road games against conference foes, but before the daunting Big Ten gauntlet ramps up in earnest, the Terps have one last warmup coming up Dec. 29 in College Park. The bout against UMBC will give UMD (9-3, 1-1 Big Ten) and Coach Kevin Willard one final chance to tweak the offense and defense, and perhaps give the deeper depth pieces another extended run, just as the headman did against Saint Peter’s Dec. 22.
