DE Avery Flips To Maryland From Ole Miss

The Terps have a track record of signing day surprises under Coach Mike Locksley, and this time around they landed a local four-star defensive end on Dec. 21. Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) edge rusher Neeo Avery flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to Maryland on the morning of Dec. 21, giving UMD its second-highest rated prospect of the 2023 class.

The 6-foot-4.5, 225-pound Avery, who was originally committed to Penn State, had been on board with the Rebels since late July.
