S Cooley Flips To Maryland From NC State

Maryland added a fourth safety commit to its 2023 class on Dec. 21 in former NC State pledge Tamarcus Cooley (Rolesville, N.C.). The 6-foot, 195-pound three-star had been committed to the Wolfpack since July 4, but the Terps had multiple staffers on him and convinced him to head north to College Park, Md.

UMD safeties coach Wes Neighbors and area recruiter Gunter Brewer were in regular contact and coaxed Cooley up for his first visit when the Terps took on Ohio State.
