S Williams Transfers To Maryland From Miami

Maryland added its third transfer this offseason Dec. 20 in Miami safety Avantae Williams. The 6-foot, 198-pound redshirt sophomore, who has three years of eligibility remaining, spent the last three years at UM and started one game and saw action in 17 contests. He had 27 total tackles, a pick and one fumble recovery during the two seasons he played.

Williams attended Deland High (Fla.) and was a borderline five-star prospect in the 2020 class.
