N.C. ATH Walker On Board With Terps

Maryland landed its highest-rated commitment in the 2023 class Dec. 14 in four-star Hickory (N.C.) tight end/defensive end Rico Walker. The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder de-committed from North Carolina back on Nov. 11, and then promptly visited the Terps for their game against Ohio State Nov. 19.  Walker, who officially visited College Park, Md., back in June, actually told headman Mike Locksley he was committed after the OSU game, but he chose to keep it quiet until publicly announcing Dec. 14.
