S Hazel Enters Transfer Portal

Maryland senior safety/nickelback Isaiah Hazel entered the transfer portal Dec. 6. The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder started several games in 2022 and finished with 15 tackles, two tackles for loss and one pass breakup. He had five tackles and two tackles for loss against Michigan in what turned out to be his most impactful performance.

Hazel, who was cast as a receiver his freshman year, played in 10 of Maryland’s 12 games in 2019, almost exclusively on special teams.
