CB Banks Declares For NFL Draft, To Forego Bowl Game

Maryland redshirt junior cornerback Deonte Banks declared for the NFL Draft Dec. 5 and said he would be foregoing the Terps’ upcoming Dec. 30 bowl game. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder earned honorable mention all-conference honors in 2022 and was Maryland’s most consistent defensive back. 

Banks registered nine pass break-ups and an interception, while not allowing a reception of over 30 yards when targeted the entire season.
