DL Fontaine Enters Transfer Portal

Maryland fifth-year senior defensive lineman Austin Fontaine elected to enter the transfer portal Dec. 1. The DMV native Fontaine was granted an extra year of eligibility due to COVID-19, and he chose to spend his last collegiate season outside of College Park, Md.

Fontaine served as a rotational end in 2022 and finished with nine tackles but no tackles for loss.

Fontaine began his Maryland career as a defensive tackle, and he briefly appeared in two games in 2018.
