DB Venerable Enters Transfer Portal

Maryland redshirt freshman defensive back Jayon Venerable entered the transfer portal Nov. 29. Venerable did not record any statistics in 2022 and only saw brief action in a couple games. Last year, Venerable appeared in four of Maryland’s 13 games, mainly on special teams. He did not enter the stat book in 2021 either.

A three-star in the 2021 class out of Spalding (Severn, Md.), Venerable was Maryland’s first commit during that cycle on July 28, 2019.
