Local OLB Wingate Pledges To Maryland

Maryland brought in its 15th commitment and first linebacker of the 2023 recruiting cycle July 6 in local Daniel Wingate (Pallotti/Laurel, Md.). The 6-foot-3, 215-pound mid-level three-star outside backer joins teammate and classmate Alex Moore, who pledged to UMD on July 1.

“It just felt like family when I was up at Maryland,” Wingate said. “From the coaches to the players, it’s just a real family bond up there.
