RECRUITING: A three-star out of Ballou (Washington, D.C.) in the 2019 class, Gater actually received his very first offer from former Maryland area recruiter Aazaar Abdul-Rahim in October of 2017. He proceeded to visit College Park several times, including twice for junior days in February of 2018. He became UMD’s very first 2019 commitment Feb. 21, 2018, a day after taking in Maryland once again.
