RECRUITING: The three-star 2018 recruit Petrino earned a Maryland offer after he attended a one-day camp in June 2018. UMD’s former special teams coach, Pete Lembo, identified the big-legged booter from Dallas, Texas, who played his high school ball at Richmond Hill (Savannah, Ga.). Two weeks later, Petrino committed to Maryland, which was his lone power-five offer.
