Cox Takes Assistant Job At Maryland

Maryland basketball coach Kevin Willard added his second assistant coach hire March 22 in former Rhode Island headman David Cox. The 48-year-old Cox is from Landover, Md., and, like new UMD assistant Tony Skinn, has many ties in the DMV area.

Cox coached at Archbishop Carroll (Washington, D.C.) from 1996-99, and then spent seven years serving as an assistant principal at St. John’s (Washington, D.C.).
