COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland (11-14, 3-11 Big Ten) is on a season-long five-game losing skid, but in two of those games, the Terps came within one play of upsetting a ranked Michigan State team and a top-five Purdue squad. UMD is well aware there are no moral victories, and at the end of the day a loss is a loss, but the Terps know, when they play to their potential, they can compete with the league’s upper echelon.
