COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Mercifully, there are only seven games left in the 2021-22 regular season, and Maryland (11-13, 3-10 Big Ten) is on track to finish with its first losing campaign since 1992-93, when the program was just recovering from the probation years in the late 1980s. Maryland posted a 12-16 record that year, and, based on the remainder of UMD’s schedule in 2021-22, it’s totally conceivable UMD finishes with a similar mark some 30 years later.
