COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland hasn’t started a season 5-0 since it went to the Orange Bowl back in 2001, but the Terps will have a chance to reach that mark with a win Oct. 1 at Maryland Stadium. A victory in primetime would thrust UMD into the top 25 rankings for the first time since 2019 and cement the Terps as a legitimate threat in the Big Ten.
“That would be pretty cool,” said quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa in typical understated fashion.
