2019-20 YEAR/ELIGIBILITY: Sophomore, second year

RECRUITING: Okonkwo was a three-star recruit from Hillgrove (Powder Spring, Ga.) in the 2018 class. He held offers from Maryland, in-state Ga Tech, Wisconsin, Navy, Marshall and others. Ultimately, the Jackets and Terps pressed for Okonkwo, but the Peach State native opted for Maryland due to his rapport with former offensive coordinator Walt Bell and the chance to be in his up-tempo system.
