Maryland coach Mike Locksley has repeatedly said it takes offensive linemen longer than any other position to adapt to college football. Not only aren’t most high school linemen physically ready for the rigors of the Division I game, but they typically need more technical work and have to adjust to the speed of top-level edge rushers and the intricacies of complicated defenses.
