RECRUITING: A five-star linebacker prospect from Baltimore, Md., Smith starred at Calvert Hall (Towson, Md.), St. Frances (Baltimore, Md.) and IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.). He was a second-team USA Today All-American and an Under Armour All-American at IMG in the 2016 class. He was rated the No. 1 outside backer and the sixth-best prospect nationally per Rivals.
