2019-20 YEAR/ELIGIBILITY: Redshirt sophomore, third year

RECRUITING: A four-star recruit and the third-best running back nationally in the 2017 class. McFarland missed his senior season at DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) due to a leg fracture, which caused many of his foremost suitors (Alabama, Clemson, Penn State, Georgia, etc.) to back off the speedster. Thus, McFarland elected to go with the hometown Terps, which stood by him throughout his injury and recovery.
