Terps Quickly Pivot To Maintain Momentum, Will Host Wingate

Fresh off of an uplifting bounce-back victory against then-No. 12 Illinois Jan. 10, Maryland (7-6, 2-5 Big Ten) was set to host Big Ten bottom feeder Nebraska in what could have been the Terps’ third conference victory. But the Huskers had a COVID-19 outbreak and have cancelled their games for the foreseeable future. Thus, the Jan. 16 bout in College Park, Md., had to be rescheduled, and Maryland was left without an opponent until a Jan. 19 game at Michigan.
