Former Terps Coach Durkin Resurfaces With Atlanta Falcons

Former Maryland head coach DJ Durkin will be a guest coach for the Atlanta Falcons during upcoming NFL training camps. Durkin, who was placed on administrative leave last summer and fired less than a year ago following the investigation into lineman Jordan McNair’s death, worked with current Atlanta coach Dan Quinn when the two were at Florida in 2011. 

Durkin has not been hired in an official capacity, however, and will be a “coaching intern” for the time being.
