Maryland saw its fifth player enter the transfer portal Dec. 23 when redshirt freshman quarterback Lance LeGendre opted to leave College Park, Md. LeGendre spent two rather inauspicious seasons at UMD as he wasn’t able to realize his four-star talent coming out of Warren Easton High in New Orleans, La. The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder couldn’t unseat Taulia Tagovailoa for the starting job heading into 2020, and eventually fell behind walk-on quarterback Eric Najarian in the pecking order.
