Maryland mostly harbored a positive outlook after ending its two-game skid and defeating La Salle, 84-71, Dec. 22 in College Park, Md. But now comes the real test for coach Mark Turgeon’s 5-2 Terps. UMD will embark on a 19-game Big Ten gauntlet that figures to significantly challenge a Terps’ team that’s already faltered against its two high-major foes earlier in December.
