Penalties, Mental Gaffes Doom Terps

Maryland entered the contest dead last in the Big Ten in penalties, and somehow the Terps hit a new nadir against Rutgers. UMD, which was being penalized almost 70 yards per game, drew 12 flags for an astounding 135 yards Dec. 12, and that heavy load of yellow laundry ultimately cost them the game.

Maryland receiver Jeshaun Jones serves as the goat in this game, and he deserves it.
