Maryland coach Mike Locksley, and likely coaches in all sports at all levels throughout the country, have dubbed the 2020-21 season “unusual” more than a few times.

The Terps’ football team was supposed to play an abbreviated eight-game schedule, but they had back-to-back games cancelled in November due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and then saw their Week 7 bout nixed when Michigan had a coronavirus outbreak of their own.
