Graduate Transfer C Smith Joins Terps

Maryland secured a graduate transfer from Alabama May 12 in center Galin Smith. The 6-foot-9, 250-pound Smith entered the transfer portal in late April, and May 8 listed a top three leaderboard of UMD, Arizona State and VCU. He chose the Terps due to their immediate need for a big man in the frontcourt.

“I’m really excited and grateful for the opportunity Coach Turgeon has given me to come and make an impact on a team as great as Maryland,” Smith said.
